🔄 Dana 44 Solid Front Axle
The Dana 44 has been the benchmark solid front axle for 4WD vehicles since 1945. It was used in the Ford Bronco, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep CJ, and Dodge Power Wagon — crossing manufacturer lines because of its robust 44-mm ring gear diameter, availability, and aftermarket support. Rubicon-spec Wranglers use a specially strengthened Dana 44 with electronic lockers front and rear, sharing the fundamental Spicer design with Cold War-era Jeeps.
