Volkswagen Type 1 Beetle (1950)
The definitive People's Car was revived under British and then German management after WWII. The 1950 Beetle used an air-cooled rear-mounted flat-four, a torsion-bar suspension system that could traverse rough terrain, and a body that changed very little for nearly 50 years. Over 21.5 million were built globally.
