Chevrolet Corvair Monza Turbo

The Corvair was America's most advanced economy car — a rear-engined, air-cooled flat-six compact in the Volkswagen/Porsche tradition. The Monza Spyder Turbo produced 150 hp from a turbocharged version of the flat-six, making it the first turbocharged production car sold in the US. Ralph Nader's critique began an American safety debate.
