Yamaha RD400
The RD400 refined the RD series to its peak — twin leading-shoe front drum, torque induction twin-cylinder two-stroke, and cast alloy wheels from 1976. Its power output of 40 hp in a 162 kg package gave it performance ratios that shamed contemporary 750 cc fours.
