The Michelin Power Road TLR is the training and sportive-use complement to the Michelin Power Cup 2 race tyre — heavier and more durable but using the same MICHELIN proprietary X-MiEV compound for road grip. Giant specifies it on their Propel Advanced SL and TCR builds; Cervelo uses it as a standard spec on the S5 Disc road bike. The Power Road TLR's 700×28c optimum size for tubeless setup at 5.5–6.0 bar provides a measurably smoother ride than 25c clinchers on chip-seal roads, improving average speed over century-ride distances.
