Peterbilt Model 260
Peterbilt's mid-1950s conventional tractor used a Cummins or Caterpillar diesel with an aluminium cab that reduced weight. The 260 carried Peterbilt's established reputation for quality into the diesel era, competing directly with Kenworth for long-haul fleet contracts.
