Mercedes-Benz G-Class G 500 (W463)
The W463 series brought the G-Class to the civilian luxury market with the 5.0L M117 V8 and ABS brakes — retaining all three locking differentials from the military version. Its body-on-frame construction and separate Dana axle-type solid axles gave it genuine off-road credentials that luxury contemporaries like the Porsche Cayenne simply couldn't match.
