The ZF 8HP is the most widely used automatic transmission in the premium segment — an 8-speed torque-converter unit adopted by BMW, Rolls-Royce, Audi, Land Rover, Maserati, Jeep, Ram, Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Alfa Romeo. Its ratio spread of 7.0:1 and internal architecture allow both high-efficiency cruising and aggressive sport modes. Over 30 million units have been produced since 2008.
