💡 Hella H4 Headlamp Unit
Hella's sealed H4 headlamp (and its rectangular variant) became the universal headlamp of European motoring in the 1970s and 1980s. The same 155 mm round unit lights the original VW Golf GTI, the VW Beetle, the BMW 2002, and the Porsche 914 — all specifying the same lens, reflector, and bulb holder assembly. The H4 dual-filament bulb (55W/60W) was the first bi-halogen headlight specification, and Hella supplied it as OEM to more than 40 vehicle brands simultaneously.
