Harley-Davidson WLA
The WLA was the Harley-Davidson machine gun of WWII — 90,000 units produced for Allied forces. Its 45 cubic inch side-valve V-twin proved reliable in extreme conditions from North Africa to the Pacific. Post-war WLAs surplused cheaply onto the civilian market and sparked the American custom motorcycle scene.
