Maserati Merak SS
The Merak was Maserati's answer to Ferrari's Dino — a transverse mid-engine sports car using a Citroën-derived 3.0-litre V6 engine in the Bora's chassis. The SS version raised power to 220 hp and shed the Citroën hydraulic complexity, creating a purer, lighter sports car.
