Fiat 500 Topolino
The Topolino (Italian for "little mouse") was the smallest car in the world at launch, with a 570 cc engine mounted ahead of the front axle to maximise cabin space. It democratised motoring for Italy's working class and laid the philosophical foundation for the later 500.
